That's one way to do it, I guess. "Capitalism with Asian values" being imported from China and rebranded as "Capitalism with New American values"?

Couldn't be better for the Mutual funds who invest in privatized prison farms.

Wasn't Dick Cheney or some other politician investing in the same sort of deal ?

This is worse than Nazism which was transparent about it's labor camps among themselves.

This is crony capitalism co-op'ing and obfuscating nazism by the push for efficiency, cost cutting, and punishment.

Ha ha, they'd rather use prison labor instead of raising wages to attract workers.

so how does this help bring down unemployment?

Raising wages isn't an option for agriculture with our trade agreements in their current form. The farmers get squeezed because the competition in Mexico, Chile, and Brazil use cheap immigrant labor. The only option is to find another crop or shutter the orchards and farms. Prices aren't going to go up for produce.

find another crop? how about hemp? they want to cut bugdets, why not start with the "war on drugs", not to mention the prison population.
