John really started the ball rolling. I having to run to keep up with all the response. :)
BTW, if you don't have time for everything on this plate, read part seven, which is Joe's interview with Warren. Warren always cuts to the chase. It's pretty short and covers a lot of ground relevant to this debate as well as to MMT in general.
Especially interesting is Warren's assertion that MMT is not a series of core components but of core understandings, i.e, an overall comprehension of a contemporary currency monopoly and what follows from it. Which is why core MMT contributors are in basic agreement.
Warren Mosler: It's not about 'core components of MMT' but about core MMT understandings.

jim demint is going around saying we are doomed because of the massive debt. with people like demint spouting their bs, keeping the sheeple in the dark, there doesnt seem to be much hope that anything will change(let alone a job guarantee). he would rather see people starving and in the streets. he should be removed from office, he is not serving the public.
DeMint is a total moron. Unfortunately, he has political sway.
