You right, it's not too difficult:

Why don't we have the Federal government hire everybody and get it over with. No new programs because we have all the bureaucrats we need.

Anyone versed in MMT knows that money would always be available. Just push a few buttons on the treasury computers.

Oh wait! wasn't that tried for 70 years in Russia?

Can't happen under this great program? Of course not, the Soviets were on a gold standard.

Our program will be temporary, like the WWII helium balloon plan for our defunct blimp program ended a few years ago. Or that great short term plan run by the Bureau of Indian Affairs and how about Temporary Farm Subsidies etc etc.

It took 60 years to remove 5 or 6 generation welfare families from the dole and you want how any millions more added to the handout line?

I was very interested in MMT until everyone began tilting at wind mills and ended up attacking their own as Apostates.

My guess is that the MMT advocates like being on the fringe and talking amongst themselves.

You need more input from your ideological enemies and come down with real solutions that will have a snowballs chance to work.

We would take the opposition more seriously if it responded in a serious fashion.
