I am angry a lot these days. Oh, you don't say? But people have to pry me off the ceiling when it comes to the absurd levels of outstanding student loan debt these days.
These kids are our FUTURE. Even if they can find a job, starting salaries are down and many move back home with "mom and dad" because of debt levels. That's soul-crushing, to say the least.
And if current "hate" trends are any indication, it's just a matter of time before America starts referring to them as "whiny punks", lacking "accountability" and looking for "entitlements". And just let the Scandinavian countries continue to laugh at us because we can't "afford" to invest in our youth based on the premise that the only way we can succeed as a nation is if the rich get even richer. To hell with everyone else, including those that bust their ass getting a degree only to end up living in their parents' basement. Smoking pot, I'm sure. What's wrong with us?
Republican Rep Foxx has "little tolerance" for anyone with student loan debt. This PRUNE went to school in the 60s and thinks her experience is actually comparable.
It's like calling customer support with a technical problem only to be told "It worked for me HALF A CENTURY AGO, quit your whining".
