David F. Ruccio — Maximum wage—or, even better, no wages

The time is ripe to open up the debate about proposals like establishing a maximum wage, guaranteeing a basic income, and prohibiting any and all forms of wage-labor. The only price of admission is to listen to the howling of mainstream economists.

Do they propose these things to piss people off or as thought experiments? Over the top insanity, in any western country, this would have the support of how many people?

Do people like Ruccio even think for two minutes before proposing this kind of nonsense?

What, magical cooperatives from coast to coast where all the work just gets done from the new age tuning of some mystical cooperative vibe?

The green parties of Europe are still based upon the hippy ideal of One World with no borders and freedom to move anywhere. Communes, co-operatives and other anarchic ideals are also evident.

The PR tries to paper over the underlying belief, but it is still there.

It's always about following the belief, never engineering to the reality of human behaviour.

I suppose you need to be a hippy to believe in all that fantasy.

I mean, to imagine one should have the "freedom to move anywhere". And, on top, to imagine that we all live in one world...

Oh, God!
