Ukraine's volunteer battalion leader, who is now also an MP, said on a Ukrainian television show that the battalions are ready to "intrude" into Russia. He spoke about intended terrorist acts before being cut off by the show's host.
"I will speak on behalf of the volunteer battalions, because I have more information...Today we are ready not just to defend [Ukraine], but to invade the Russian Federation, break into it with reconnaissance detachments and sabotage groups," the leader of the Dnepr-1 (Dnipro-1) battalion Yury Bereza said on Sunday during the 'Shuster Live' TV show.…
During a meeting with people in a Ukrainian town after the parliamentary elections, Bereza also shared his intentions of becoming the country's new defense minister. One of "our guys" on the job. I feel safer from Putler already.

That would truly be a tit for tat after how Russia destabilized Ukraine with its green men.
Btw Putin may have a ton of experience in blowing things up. Observers at the time noted that the pretext he used to launch the second Chechen war was a series of apartment building explosions that had all the fingerprints of an FSB job. Chechens had not motive to do that at all.
"Tit for tat" assumes fairly equal parties? The US is the global leader with the largest economy and military, and its foreign policy is based on destabilizing regimes that it wishes to see changed into "friendly" regimes. The pretexts and tactics are different, but the policy and strategy is the same.
At least the Russians have a sense of humor about the inept US-backed Ukrainian military:

Their Deputy Prime Minister Rogozin is a hoot.
Yes. Parties are unequal. Ukraine military is no match for Russia. Russians annihilated hundreds of Ukrainian soldiers on Ukrainian soil. A terrorist strategy on the part of Ukrainians is a natural response given the mismatch.
@bubbalouis
Yes, invade somebody and then laugh at their despair, about their state being in shambles. Bush also laughed about finding WMDs under a chair. Hilarious stuff.
PeterP,
Russia did not invade East Ukraine; in fact, Putin made a specific show of not doing so. You're buying the neocon koolaid. Read moonofalabama.org and Stephen Cohen. The Russian-speaking Ukrainians who live in the Eastern section defended themselves from the Right Sektor and the other crazy oligarch-backed armies out of Kiev.
Here's one of many. Check the July/August/September archives:
"Zero Proof" - The "Russian Invasion" Of Ukraine

From what I can tell through the fog of war, Russia did not "invade" the Ukraine by send in either regulars or special forces. This seems to be a fabrication without evidence to back it up.
However, Russia did not stop volunteers who were Russian nationals from crossing the border. Russia also made military equipment available to the East Ukrainians, who probably could not have stopped the much better equipped Ukrainian forces and volunteer militias without that equipment.
What seems to have happened is that the Ukrainians tried to goad Putin into launching an offensive that would bring in NATO assistance, either on its own or in collusion with the neocons. So far that has not happened.
This is only the end of round one, however. The experts seem to agree that there's more to come as the Ukraine seeks to defeat the East Ukrainians. That seems to have been decided by the recent elections.
It's in the interest of the US to destabilize the region with the intention of eventually effecting regime change in Russia to oligarchic "democracy." This is a major policy goal "no matter how long it takes."
As many as 300 Russian forces are on Ukrainian territory offering training and expertise but not engaged in fighting, Breedlove said at a separate Pentagon news conference Monday.
Foreign Policy
Oddly enough Russian tanks, shells and even soldiers were in Ukraine. Even Russian see this. http://m.huffpost.com/us/entry/5774138
Or maybe Putin was right: the have fallen into Ukraine from space.
Btw I have talked to Ukrainians. Their soldiers were fighting with ak47s against huge guns and rocket launchers. Some of those soldiers (lost limbs) are in US hospitals now, Ukrainians visit them and talk to them. Or maybe again Putin is right: this equipment can be bought in sports goods stores.
Common mistake of the "left" glorifying enemies of US imperialism thinking that they are any "better". Talk about coolaid.
Exactly, Tom.

Not to mention getting them to drop their beseiged currency, adopt the Euro, then getting their mitts on the natural resources in eastern Ukraine, like the Donetz-Dnieper Basin via the bond vigilantes.
Don't forget that Joe Biden's son was appointed to the board of Ukraine’s largest gas producer last May, located in eastern Ukraine.
Yes. US elites are dying for Russia to adopt the Euro. That is the master plan. And you have figured it out. Unfortunately a bunch of unemployed Russian speaking welders destroyed 60% of the ukrainian army from the air and the plan failed.
Russia adopt the Euro? No, how did you perceive that? I meant the Ukraine.
