Great stuff! This is the future
Yes, excellent article. Nice and clear.
Have you guys seen this? Crazy!http://inthesetimes.com/article/18940/alec-balanced-budget-corporate-constitutional-convention
Let us hope that ALEC succeeds. A balanced budget amendment in practice will be a shock to the system.
I was going to post that Balanced Budget Amendment link for Tom, but @Cooper beat me to it. Democrats have no plan to retake the states. None.
Why would corporate America want a balanced budget amendment? Surely, they must understand that their continuing profits require federal deficits? Is ruling class disdain for the commoner so intense that they're willing to forego profits just to smash the worker?
@Joe, for the same reason corporate Europe supports the Euro.@Joe asked " Is ruling class disdain for the commoner so intense that they're willing to forego profits just to smash the worker?"Michal Kalecki answered "HELL YES!"Of course a Republican sponsored balanced budget amendment would have loopholes for the military and other corporate welfare. The impact would be on domestic programs that help the working class.
