Can MMT not use this Panama papers thing to our own advantage. To show even more clearly that taxes don't fund government spending ?
MofA taught me to get into the habit of asking "Cui Bono?" So when I heard about the alleged "blockbuster" leak, I asked myself "who benefits from this leak that seems to point fingers at Putin?"
Despite the hype, so far very little new information has emerged from the leak. Rich people hid money offshore? You don't say! Panama is a center for money laundering? Tell me something new!
I wonder what that Icelandic politician did to piss off the CIA? Let's see, his Progressive party is firmly opposed to joining the EU, while the other Iceland parties favor joining the EU. So if the Progressives lose power due to this scandal, the chances of Iceland joining the EU would increase. Hmmmmm ....
