Paul Sperry — How US covered up Saudi role in 9/11

The line between conspiracy theory and fact is blurring, and the US government is doing it best to keep it dark.

New York Post
How US covered up Saudi role in 9/11
Paul Sperry | former Hoover Institution* media fellow

The Hoover Institution is conservative. Perry is ultra-right. It seems that the American right now has it in for the Saudis.

so much bullshit from the political elite, protect complicit saudis and then redirect attention to fabricated target(saddam) on bullshit.
the noughties was just an era of foreign policy bullshit, after 9/11 the intelligence /security/poltical elite had no backbone.

Maybe the whole US has no backbone,Wealthy Wahhabi Saudi's killed 3000 and the US did nothing.

(not to mention coalition of the willing)

everyone one knew this, what a charade of colossal bullshit,i mean protecting the people who financed 9/11.

the inability of society and the media to cut through the bullshit and discern the truth from bullshit created this this mass mental haze/stupor in the noughties.

Of course. They have to cover the Israeli role, which is still indeterminate, and “classified.” [See Fox News report December, 2001, at http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article7545.htm. Abe Foxman got this series wiped from the Fox’s website. Someone found the parts and published them.
Israel Is Spying In And On The U.S.? Part 1] link above.

Ehud Barak interview, BBC, 11:29, 9/11 - that’s 11:29 AM, 9/11!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V4Zj1fnGtjk

Barak was in the BBC Green Room at 9:30AM EST 9/11. I know because I saw him live. I was subscribed to BBC and watched on my computer that morning and saw him in PIP on the screen on live TV.

And it was this bastard’s two pronouncements that it was bin Laden, combined with his appearance later that night with Richard Perle on BBC that cemented the idea in the public’s mind that it was bin Laden--with no official investigation, just neocon nodding--something that I do not believe has ever been proven.

Listen to this guy. He was NO LONGER AN ISRAELI OFFICIAL, yet he was given the power of the US President to identify possible perps on international TV? !?! I cannot begin to tell you the anger that rose in my throat that day watching this spectacle. He insists on putting through bin Laden’s name twice. One hour after the tower fell. What’s up with that.

For a split second at 4:44, you will see the satellite feed ID and time: 15:27 GMT, which puts the broadcast even earlier doesn’t it? How did this rat bastard know?

The Saudi government would attack the country that is keeping it from being overthrown by its own population? Has anybody actually taken the time to think this through? Rich and connected private Saudi citizens are another matter entirely. For various reasons, they'd happily attack the US. There are plenty of rich Saudis (and other Gulf Arabs, notably Kuwaitis and Qataris) whose philosophy is essentially that of Bin Laden and Al Qaeda at best and ISIS at worst. I should imagine there are some who find ISIS intolerably gentle and sweet-natured.

When Saudi Arabia (government, clerical and private citizens) wage jihad and destroy country after country, the US is ecstatic. Both countries "interests" are aligned. When there is a Salafi spillover and some overly zealous jihadis murder three thousand innocent people in New York, we are subject to dangerous drivel like "They hate our freedoms" and other imbecilic absurdities. It's all very simple, the monster that the West and the Saudis created is now out of control.

There. Fixed it for you.

I can shorten that:

The Greeks called it hubris. Nemesis is taking names.

MRW,

It's true that Israel is part of it, but none of this happens without the US directing its Gulf Arab client states and less so Pakistan. Israel is involved but is pretty marginal to the whole operation. Israel's role is to evade scrutiny. The US can't arm jihadis directly, and even arming client Arab states is problematic given the hysteria in some camps. Congressional oversight and popular movements makes it problematic to aid jihadis directly or through erstwhile allies. If you arm Israel, no one bats an eyelid.

In fact, Congress demands that Israel is armed even further and given even further financial aid. Congress in either too stupid or too naive to realise that a good deal of this financial and military aid will find its way to jihadis. There's only so much the CIA can do. It's not easy to double the CIA's budget for these black operations. Adding a few more billion dollars to Israel is unproblematic. And if the Israel connection becomes a little too hot to handle, as has happened in the past, you can use South Korea or any number of countries as a useful conduit. Failing that, you can always simply lie! There must be endless ways of circuitously doing what you wish to do openly. Who's to know if thousands of missile launchers suddenly disappear and find their way to Yemen or Libya or wherever? Put that down to malfunctioning equipment that had to be destroyed.

Israel is and always will be a minor player. Its aggression is dependant on US support. If the US says no, that's the end of the matter. When Iraq launched missiles against Israel during the first Gulf War, what was Israel's reaction? It did absolutely nothing. NOTHING!!!!!! Why? The US threatened Israel. The US didn't want Israel fucking up its shit. And if they did, they would pay dearly for it. If you're a client state, that's what you are. You do what you're told and you don't mess with the boss. End of story. Everything else you hear is just noise. Tune out, but listen to what the boss is saying!

Tom, very nicely put!

Not true. Read Victor Ostrovsky’s second book. He was the ex-Mossad guy who spilled the beans. The Israelis, according to Ostrovsky, fired the SCUDs themselves to get sympathy...all those photos of people in bomb shelters with masks on. The Mossad’s motto says it all. ;-)

I read his first book, very chilling. Apparently he was very clever and had a doctorate in something the Mossad found useful, so they took a risk even though he was a liberal.

I couldn't get my head around why he would want to do such a dangerous job. I think he liked the danger. There's some chilling stuff in that book. Like the Israeli Atomic, Biological, and Chemical Unit, ABC. The Israelis say they have never heard of him.

I hope Americans will find it hard to believe the Saudis had a role in 9/11 without the full foreknowledge of the US government.

The title should have been broader:

How Vested Interests in US Gov covered up Saudi, Israeli & internal US Roles in 9/11

@nivekvb,

The Israelis say they have never heard of him.

LOL. The Israeli government took the unusual step of using some obscure law at the US Supreme Court to stop publication of his books. Didn’t work.

Fascinating, MRW. Please provide a link to that. I'd like to see the details.

US foreign policy has been captured by Saudi.

the references to Israel are not relevant(to 9/11) but yes if you look at John Mearshiemers work to pro-Israel lobby has captured US foreign policy too.

but the point is:the US is not "controlling" these powers, these powers have massive influence on the US and influence US policy;not the other way round.

There is no link. It’s on the back cover of one of Ostrovsky’s books and I believe in the foreword or intro. Perhaps you can find a used copy through Amazon or order via a public library inter-library loan. Either way, the blurb contains the source info. I think it references a NYT article about it, but I remember trying to find the NYT story years ago and couldn’t. I could get off my ass and open some book boxes but it’s too much work. If vitally important to you, will do. I never check the email comments box below but I will in this one instance.
