Robert Parry — Trump’s ‘Wag the Dog’ Moment

President Trump earned neocon applause for his hasty decision to attack Syria and kill about a dozen Syrians, but his rash act has all the earmarks of a “wag the dog” moment, reports Robert Parry.…
Important. Worth a read in full.  How Trump was flipped and who did it.

If Parry's sources are correct, Donald Trump did not shoot from the hip based on watching cable news reports, as some believe. Rather, there was disagreement among Trump's top advisors and Trump chose to go with the neocons.

Here's Canadian PM Trudeau yesterday just before he US airstrikes when asked if military action was necessary against the Assad regime to refrain from using chemical weapons:

"There are continuing questions ... about who is responsible for these horrible attacks against civilians, and that's why I'm impressing on the UN Security Council to pass a strong resolution that allows the international community to determine who was responsible for these attacks and how we will move forward."

A cool, calm and measured response, right?

And this is what pretty boy had to say today:

"Canada fully supports [the US's actions last night against Syria]."

What in the names of Canadian bacon and maple syrup just happened?!

Isn't the answer obvious?

Canada is a vassal of the Empire.

The US/NATO is still in Afghanistan going two decades now with no end in sight. They can't withdraw or the Taliban will take over again, which would be a defeat for the US and NATO by another rag-tag bunch like Vietnam. And if they stay, will bleed blood and treasure indefinitely with little to nothing to show for it.

Add Iraq and Libya to that, and now they want to do Syria and Iran?

The plan was/is to partition Syria. That is the situation in Iraq. It doesn't require too many boots on the ground, from what can be observed so far. Washington's plan is described as managed chaos.
