Both. He's bugged (not "wiretapped") AND the placed is riddled with Deep State moles.

I remember reading that some political experts said he wouldn't last a year because they will torment him so much. It looks that they are right.

Leaks suggest there's an issue with the plumbing.

If he was a competent manager, which is what all the cheerleaders were saying he was during the election, he would have leaks, but he would be able to swiftly diffuse them. And he would have turned some of the so called deep state to his side, by making alliances and deals, which is what he was supposed to be good at. But he has done none of those things. Honestly, it's beyond me why people are willing to give.this guy so many excuses for being just a horrible executive. Would you want to work for him? He's moody, stupid, insensitive, boorish, humorless, vindictive, and in love with himself. His skin is orange. He eats fast food like it's his job, The only recourse for grievances against him is through the media, so that's where these folks go.

I have been of the opinion that there is evidence of some shady deals between members of the Trump team and foreign governments, which are problematic but don't rise to the level of high crimes. However, because of his, and only his, incompetence, he is probably looking at an impeachment. Seriously, he only has himself to blame. The media has been historically unfair to Me? I thought he was an alpha male. Sounds more like a mommas boy.

Dave, he's the same assclown that kept obsessing over Obama and his birth certificate. I haven't forgotten about that, so he's just a big fat bully who loves to dish it out, but can't take it himself. A hypocrite, a loser, mommas boy as you said, and a child. Screw him.

Tony Schwartz, the ghostwriter behind The Art of the Deal, is likely correct that Trump will probably make up a whole excuse to resign eventually. because he doesn't want to lose He's gotten Trump's MO down perfectly.

"My presidency has been so TREMENDOUS and we've done SO MUCH WINNING BIGLY, that I think I've gotten tired of winning. I'll be resigning quite soon and leaving things up to my colleague Mike Pence, who's a great man. That's what I like to do."

Dave, he's not part of the establishment. He's an unwelcome guest and they're making his stay as uncomfortable as possible with the intent on making him leave so they can give the room to one of their buddies.

"Competence" is not required and is in fact detrimental (not that Trump has any). Compliance is the necessary characteristic of a president, to happily do what you are told to do.

This is why Hillary was heiress to the throne, she does exactly what the program requires. Since Trump won't play the puppet he will be replaced. My bet is he doesn't finish a year in office. Probably resign for "medical reasons". Impeachment might lead to insurrection. Trust in media and government are at all-time lows and real world conditions for most are steadily declining.

Crikey, I don't like the Alt. Right all that much but maybe these guys can do something. If only liberals knew they were backing war.

Lavrov denies that Trump discussed Comey during meeting

I vote for bugs, because the spy agencies have the technology and the motive.

Some of the staff are probably leaking, too, since the staff are complete scum. Scum though they may be, they don't necessarily have a strong motive. I imagine most of the staff are taking notes so they can eventually publish a tell-all book after they leave the Trump administration. But in the meantime, why undermine your boss on who you depend for a job?

After thinking about it some more, it is possible Trump's staff have cut a deal with Pence -- "we'll throw Trump under the bus if you promise to keep us employed or even promote us after you are sworn in."

Choosing Pence as VP was a huge mistake.

Choosing Pence as VP was a huge mistake.

That's what others of us said at the time, but thinking about it I don't think Trump had much of a choice about bringing establishment GOP on board. If he followed his own instincts and Bannon's advice, he would be gone by now. He probably understood that.

The only way he can save himself now is to become a figurehead and let Pence and the GOP establishment run the show. Then the GOP will protect him from the opposition. If he doesn't do that, his presidency will face paralysis and he will be under constant pressure to "break him," e.g., by ruining his health.

Politics ain't beanbag and nice guys finish last. As I have said, only thugs can play the the game at the top.

Kaivey the alt right wants war too, they just don't want it over seas. They would be very happy with a new civil war, or a race war. So let's stop pretending they want peace. If your a minority, or a liberal, or a socialist, or a member of the media, your a potential target.

Tom Hickey said...

The Civil War never really ended.

This is true of most of the world, where age-old conflicts go back millennia.

This is a fly in the ointment of liberal globalization.

And most so-called liberals are really authoritarians intent on shoving their version of liberalism down others' throats and putting a "liberal" boot on their necks.

Agree Penguin. And Noah your right, but if he didn't know then he's a bigger idiot than I thought. A 4 d chess player already knows his opponents strengths and weaknesses. Shame on him, he had a pretty good life before this. Why mess it up?

@Dave

Ego. I think his plan was to get some delegates and then cash them in for some sweet deal. But Hill and the Dems pumped him up thinking he was an easy kill. The only way Trump could "lose" was to win, and now here we are.
