Unfortunately Ezrati really doesn't have an excuse to not know MMT better. My undergraduate alma mater, SUNY College at Buffalo, is just a 10 minute drive from SUNY Buffalo. It's always had a heterodox bent to its staff. It currently has 2 UMKC econ graduates as faculty and the department today is hosting a panel discussion on MMT. It wouldn't have taken more than a phone call to arrange a lunch or dinner to improve his understanding and gain clarity.
