Buffalo mayor calls 75-year-old shoved by police officer a 'major instigator' during protests — J. Edward Moreno

Another instance of blame the victim.

The reality is that if the person was breaking the law, he should have been taken into custody. If he resisted, only enough force to control the person should have been used.

This is an example of amateur policing, indicating the the police were either not well trained or else lacked discipline.

Policing both art (skill) as well as a science, and failures should be addressed as either personal failure on the part of the officer or  management failure.

Blaming the victim suggest management failure and a police culture that is not fit for purpose. In addition, the reaction of the force also suggest poor management.

Police officials are highly paid among public servants and are expected to be professional. This department appear to be unprofessional, unless there are a lot of rogue officers. There is no excuse for rogue officers. This is a recognized issue in policing, and they should have been weeded out. Admittedly, this is not a simple task.

Moreover, the mayor doesn't seem to understand any of this.

While officers seldom pay the price, a result is that local government face suits. Taxpayers get stuck with damages.

Tom, One angle that I don't think you've covered is the public employee unions being harmed first by COVID and then now the demands to defund police and other city law enforcement. These are the last big, powerful unions in America. Is this the final link breaking between labor and Dems or Progressives and unions? I don't understand what has happened but it seems significant rift. Surely when the campaigns were organizing these protests, they didn't forget about unions as the socialists are backing it. Missing piece of puzzle.

Sundance has the guy cloning the officers radio comms with some sort of device in his right hand..,

Perhaps some sort of RF sampling device.,.

Have to see the investigation details which if it was some sort of attempted radio frequency scrape we’ll never know about it...

They.l have to interrogate him after he regains consciousness ...

Idiot cops should have apprehended him conscious s9 he could be interrogated...

If you look at the video he reaches down towards the officers belt level and scans back and forth with some sort of hand held device...

We expect people to be professional, and that is why we are disappointed time and again.

Hey Ryan,
Your favorite Brazilian president Bolsonaro is creating a new better reality. He’s decided to not publish numbers on Covid-19 anymore as it doesn’t reflect the situation their. Winning!
