Zero Hedge — China To Pursue Domestic Chip-Making With 'Same Priority As Atomic Capability' Amid Trump Restrictions

The cost of financing capital to the state is zero and there is no financial constraint on the amount. The issue is availability of real resources — chiefly state of the art chip engineers — and this is the limitation that China has to overcome. Cost is not an object and the Chinese leadership seems to get this. No talk of "affordability." China is hiring and pay "what it takes." Oh, and AI, too.

Proper scientific and engineering equipment is pricey. The cost of cultivating engineers is cheap by comparison.
