I think It is safe to say the old Washington post and New York Times is well and truly over. Never again will the media hold the government to account or get in their way again.
Without an independent media (the fifth estate), our knowledge of politics will dwindle to zero. Perhaps the time has come to say goodbye to that topic.

Also, a Greek reporter interviewed last week a soldier whose father was Greek and mother Ukrainian in Mariupolis and the soldier saying how much he hated the Russians for invading and that he's fighting the invader. Nothing said about Nazis.
