Untangling the "socialism" vs. "capitalism" dichotomy — Alex Krainer

 Interesting post that deal with some of the same concepts as MMT but is not MMT. It's an interesting take. He has seen both sides, having grown up in a communist country (Yugoslavia). He is former hedge fund manager, commodities trader and author based in Monaco. He now blogs on geoeconomics and geopolitics at TrendCompass on Substack.

What's so difficult about the concept of a mixed economy?
It's an economy that actually works.

How about international trade that works?
Try fiat currency with floating exchange rates.

Stop living in the past.

Hard to forget about your past… probably even more so if that was under a failed commie system….

What he sees is a "failed" fiat system, and is ignorant of past monetary arrangements, so assumes we can reinvent the wheel...
