RT — Ukraine’s neo-Nazi leader becomes top military adviser, legalizes fighters

Ukraine’s Interpol-wanted leader of extremist group Right Sector, Dmitry Yarosh, has been appointed as an adviser to the country’s Chief of General Staff. He has agreed to legalize thousands of fighters as an assault team subordinate to the regular army.
“Colonel General Viktor Muzhenko, Chief of General Staff, and Dmytro Yarosh agreed the format of cooperation between ‘Pravy Sector’ [Right Sector] and the Ukrainian Armed Forces,”Ukraine’s defense ministry said in statement.
Very bad news.
Yarosh, who was one of the main figureheads of the violence-seeped coup last year, is wanted by Interpol for incitement of terrorism, and extremist activities. He was placed on the international wanted list at the request of Russian authorities. Despite his notoriety, Yarosh is an elected member of the Ukrainian parliament heading the Right Sector political party, which is banned in Russia as an extremist organization.
Over the weekend Yarosh announced that he plans to legalize private military companies in Ukraine, and will soon introduce new legislation into the Parliament.
"I think it could be a good option for people, who can’t get back from war inside their heads," the extremist leader claimed. “This will provide jobs to many people, and stability in the country, after all.”…

Jacek Kaminski — Right Sector changing sides?

You read that right. Politics is amazing. How the worm turns.
J.Hawk's Comment: It may well be that, since Ukraine appears to be doomed to a loose confederation of Novorossiya and Banderland(for lack of a better word), Yarosh is simply auditioning to be the acceptable (to Moscow) candidate for the post of the head of Banderland. His statements concerning Ukraine's non-aligned status appear to be aimed at that audience, given that is the main strategic objective that the Kremlin is pursuing. The Right Sector did not lose its collective mind. On the contrary, it may have finally found it.

Also, Yarosh's move I think confirms he is not the creature of Kiev, Berlin, or Washington. He is and has been an independent political operator in his own right whose services are and have always been for sale for the highest bidder. Since neither Washington nor Kiev are prepared to bid very much in order to retain his loyalty, he's evidently decided to explore viable alternatives. It also helps that the Right Sector is not as stridently Nazi as, say, Biletsky's Azov who is not someone with whom DPR, LPR, or the Kremlin would ever do business. But Yarosh has positioned himself pretty cleverly by not embracing the ideology of Great Ukraine nearly as strongly as Biletsky.

Live Journal — The Right Sector will follow Ukrainian command, sort of ...

Why the hostilities in Ukraine are out of control. The Ukrainian government doesn't have control the militias. It's not in the interest of the Right Sector for the Minsky agreement to succeed.

The bias is toward the Ukrainian separatist and Russian side, but most of the factual reporting is not available in the Western media.

At the meeting we decided that there will be no ceasefire with Russian occupants and terrorists. We will wage the war until a victorious liberation of all Ukrainian lands from Moscow freaks. — From Yarosh's Facebook page. Not exactly being subtle about it.

I can'f vouch for his description of the Russian mindset other than by comparing it with readings, but his description of the Western liberal mindset is pretty accurate in my view. He, too, is concerned with this spinning out of control.
