Argyria: Literally drinking the Precious Metals Kool-aid

We were just made aware of this here at MNE, but apparently the metal-fetishists are now completely over-the-top and have proceeded to actually ingesting the precious metals.

This is a disturbing image of someone who drank too much of the precious metal silver in solution, and developed a rare condition known as Argyria (from Greek: ἄργυρος argyros silver + -ia).

Here is the wiki on this condition that is characterized by the individual developing a silverish-blue skin tone and eyeballs:  WIERD-O-RAMA!!!!

This poor fellow on the right looks like the "Tin Woodsman" character from the old "Wizard of Oz" movie.

("Oil can..... oil can....")

What are these people doing to themselves!?

It looks like this practice of ingesting the metal is popular with prominent libertarians, indicating perhaps a strong link between libertarianism and this rare skin condition.

Indeed, it looks as if libertarianism may be a key precursor to Argyria.

Let's check the epidemiology ... excerpt from the wiki:
A prominent case was that of Stan Jones of Montana, a Libertarian candidate for the United States Senate in 2002 and 2006. Jones acquired argyria through consumption of a home-made silver product that he made due to fears that the Year 2000 problem would make antibiotics unavailable.[18] The peculiar colouration of his skin was featured prominently in media coverage of his unsuccessful campaign, though Jones contends that the best-known photo was "doctored".[18] Jones promised that he was not using his silvery complexion as a gimmick.
I'm not making any of this up.

And here is an article at The Daily Paul on ingesting the two metals, silver and gold, titled;  "Do you eat Silver and Gold?" for further reference.

Again, I am not making any of this up.

These metals morons are completely out of control and now disfiguring  themselves.  Apparently this has been going on for a while within the metal-loving cohort.

Very disturbing.

They are free to kill themselves. Or at least that's what they would say.

So let them make this 'smart' choice rightfully.
