An economics, investment, trading and policy blog with a focus on Modern Monetary Theory (MMT). We seek the truth, avoid the mainstream and are virulently anti-neoliberalism.
Neocons are not tough. They're not alpha's. They're putrid, little, intellectuals who happened to have conned or bought their way into control over our policy makers and the military. They're little bullies. Trump will put them in their place.
Liberals can be so so dense regarding Trump. Yet his populist positions would be far more achievable than those of Sanders. A short list:
--Trump will preserve SS as it exists.
--Trump wants all people covered healthcare wise, but he loathes Obamacare, which many liberals do too.
--Trump will engage Putin constructively, not as a two-bit tough guy like Obama, Hillary...and Sanders.
-- Trump is for far more favorable trade deals, which benefit Americans optimally. He isn't anti trade by any means.
--Trump is for LEGAL immigration, for national security reasons and fairness to American workers. To an idiot liberal that constitutes hate speech.
--Trump sees much of global Islam for what it is--anti American, anti women, anti civilized. Liberals going apoplectic over Trump on this demonstrates their dishonesty. Betcha most think like Trump but don't have the guts to admit it publicly.
I agree with most all of what you say about Trump and his positions on issues. He is not a run of the mill republican as far as policy positions... at least in my voting lifetime (about 35 years)..... but his ego is a problem. Someone form CIA or Secret Service would likely have a "talk" with him were he elected and let him know that certain lines being crossed will not be tolerated. I feel certain that our system has a plan for how to deal with "President gone rogue" and he will hear the plan.
I don't fear Trumps policies domestically so much but I do fear that he might not tone down his ego and get himself erased. Then who ever he picks as his VP might end up being a disaster.( Like Christie, Carson or god forbid Palin)

Mal I wish Mike could just get in for an Asst Treasury Secretary.....
No, you get that position, Matt. :)
...in fact you get Treasury Secretary outright.
Neocons are going to Hillary - they don't think she's a poodle.
To prove it she will whack someone out of the gate if elected.

"Trump will put them in their place."
That's what I love most about Trump, Mike. He is crushing the neocons.
