Jill Stein Appeared on Fox News, Made Their Heads Explode

Jill Stein does a terrific job here on Fox news demolishing conservative economic theories. Mike Figueredo of The Humanist Report breaks down her performance further explaining why Keynesian-ism/ MMT works. He shows the prejudice of the Fox News reporters with their biased questions regarding how are Americans going to pay for the cancellation of the student debts, but Conservative and Democrat politicians are we never asked how are 'we' going to pay the $trillions for the all the wars or the banker bailouts.

Mike Figueredo makes the mistake of believing taxes will pay for the cancellation of student debt whereas Jill Stein says the tax payer will pay nothing as the Federal Reserve can create the money in the same way they did for quantitative easing.  The Fox News reporters lose the debate but cover this up by asking a load of nonsense questions

Green Party presidential candidate appeared on Fox News, and the liberal policies she discussed nearly made their heads explode. We break down the exchange in this segment.

Great interview. She'd be a much stronger two-party government candidate than Hillary, it's too bad she stays on the outside of the two-party government where she won't be allowed to win.

I wish she would support leftist ideas though. The Green Party supports market based solutions for solar, they like subsidies for the wealthy to buy and finance solar systems and then restrictions on non-renewables(1). The Green party solution raises the prices of electricity, promotes financial rents, and prevents the poor from reaping the benefits and increases inequality.

The (new left) Republican party supports changing the building code at the local level to require solar on all new buildings and remodeled buildings. The republican solution provides solar for all, it gives poor and rich alike, equal access and lowers the price of electricity.

I just can't support a candidate that endorses the green party platform which is based on elitism, handouts for the wealthy, climate catastrophism, and more of the same market based non-sense which got us into this mess.

1.) So I don't get flamed: From the green party 2016 platform their market based solutions [

Policy tools to directly support the development of renewable energy sources, such as Renewable Portfolio Standards (RPS) and Feed-in Tariffs, should also be reviewed for effectiveness. In general, a feed-in tariff is legislation enacted by the government that requires the large electric utilities to guarantee a price for the renewably generated electricity fed into the grid. When done right, such as in Germany, this policy appears to succeed in harnessing entrepreneurial zeal.

State-level financing policies like California's AB 811 can help homeowners install expensive renewable energy where the county pays the up-front cost and the system is paid for via the homeowner's property taxes.

Greens support voluntary purchase of tradable renewable energy]

Care to elaborate more on the "new left" Republican party you mentioned?

When I look at many (not all!) of the grass root policies coming out of the republican party, they are dotted with very, very progressive ideas. This is a Republican city in a Republican District.

I like the fact that the Repubs are hitting The Left, from the left.

I'm not a Republican so please don't attack me, I'm always getting attacked viciously by Dems for criticizing, it's very frightening.

Thanks for the link, will check it out later, feel free to elaborate more knowing than I'm a friendly face!…

I also get attacked by the Left, mostly by friends of mine, for being a Lefty who thinks a Trump presidency might in practice actually be more progressive than a Clinton presidency. And I also get attacked for not buying into the climate catastrophism.
I used to think the Left was so much more open minded than the Right, but that changed when i started disagreeing on some issues. As you said, it's frightening.

So where do you sit on climate change then? History has a lot to show us about what has happened in our history at rises in CO2 like this and it extinguishes most life very quickly via natural cycles.

Ha this is funny...

ok so you have the GOP Trump saying "look you just print the money so there is no bankruptcy ok..."

Now you have Green Stein saying "Fed can create the money like QE..."

Then you have the Dem guy the MMT top-enders thru in with Sanders saying we need to balance the budget....

LOL!

It's a real reversal of narrative, Matt. Even though, not all Republicans are on-board, it's amazing how many aren't worried about debt and deficits any more. It was an obsession a few years ago.

SDB said...

Ryan Harris,

Didn't the Reagan presdiency explode the deficit and debt? Didn't Cheney say deficits don't matter?
I mean, it seems like Republicans only care a lot about the national debt and deficits when it's Democrats in power.
It isn't really a role reversal.

But if the "new left" Republicans are taking up traditional progressive policies at the grassroots level as you suggest, this could be very interesting.

Matt: "LOL"
It's like we're living in Bizzaro World!

Infant science + political hijacking = clusterfuck.

The following post is what I usually share first when people ask what the skeptics are so skeptical about:
