Kevin Tully — The Election: This is a Culture War, Not a Battle of Economics

We as a nation are presently in the throes of a second civil war. The first was fought over the preservation of a culture -- the economic and social culture of slavery. This time it is being fought over what we, Americans, want the culture of America to be. The multi-cultural, multi-racial, multi-religious and multi-narrative nation that America has become could not go naturally in any other social and political direction but Progressive. For Liberals and Progressives this is accepted fact. For the vast majority of Republicans and Conservatives this is a horror and unacceptable.…
Liberalism versus traditionalism.

While this post is from a partisan angle (progressivism), that is the direction in which America is heading both temperamentally (more liberal) and demographically (multi-ethic and multi-cultural). I would agree that many opposing and sometime contradictory strains are manifesting in this election. However, I don't think it is a wave election even if Trump wins. Traditionalism is waning in America and there is nothing that traditionalists can do to stem the tide of history that is running against them.

This guy is just a non material person Tom so of course he emphasizes the "cultural" aspects over the material...

Let him try to eat or drink "culture" and see how long he lives... 3 days without water...
