Andrew Neil - Vladimir Putin is innocent until proven guilty in the Russian spy case

One sane voice.

Why should Putin, or anyone else in the Russian state, suddenly want him dead now for anything he did more than a decade ago? Or destroy the precedent that spy swaps should always be honoured? If Russian agents considered Skripal a great danger, they had plenty of opportunities to murder him earlier — or simply to keep him in jail. It would hardly be in Russia’s interest to be seen to renege on a spy swap, which would make co-operation with Britain — or any other country — less likely in future.

They renege ALL THE TIME...

Their renege on the gas thru Ukraine deal when gas went to $13 is the whole reason we find ourselves in this shit in the first place...

Same with Venezuela wrt oil deal when it went to $150...

Commies renege ALL THE TIME...

Kaivey this started the whole thing:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1106382/Europe-plunged-energy-crisis-Russia-cuts-gas-supply-Ukraine.html

IMF went in and loaned Ukraine like $100B+ to build it all out and then it HAS TO work financially to pay back the loans.... Russia gets its gas to Europe thru Ukraine and EVERYBODY GETS PAID .... Its SIMPLE.....

Only the drunk Russians could ever F it all up .... they should stick to potato farming...

Its been a constant degradation ever since... it was inexcusable and Putin has to go...

Putin can probably mea culpa to this and might be able to get out of it if he did... but he has never mea culpa-ed to this and instead is digging in...

Even the Syria thing would never be happening...

The gulf states would come in with pipeline plans thru Syria and they would just tell them no thanks we are getting more than enough thru Ukraine from Russia...

Instead: Drunk Russian potato farmers F-ed it ALL up...

Maybe homo sapiens had this kind of trouble with neanderthals when they were evolving away to a superior species...

iow the west is evolving into a superior humanoid and Russians are going the way of the zinjanthropus erectus?

What do you Darwinists think? maybe?

I would think that homo sapiens had to have had a lot of trouble like this with neanderthals when it was all going down...

The Daily Mail prints propaganda.

You're completely wrong Matt, and the truth is enshrined by European courts.

Contrary to Ukrainian claims Stockholm Arbitration Court finds in Gazprom's favor in dispute about gas sales and prices.

On Friday 21st December 2017 the Stockholm Arbitration Court made a ruling in the legal dispute between Ukraine's state owned gas monopoly Naftogaz and Russia's largely state owned gas monopoly Gazprom.

In the hours after the decision - which like all decisions of the Stockholm Arbitration Court - is not published, Naftogaz claimed victory in a short statement. However over the course of the hours which followed Gazprom provided details of the decision which suggests that the truth is the diametrically opposite.

Read your own article:

“They were included in a supply contract Ukraine signed in 2009 after Gazprom dented supplies to the EU by cutting all flow amid a price dispute - including transit through the country's vast pipeline systems”

This is an arbitration in a matter AFTER the original agreement that Russia reneged on by shutting off the gas...

Iow yes Gas is now resumed flowing thru Ukraine but the relationships have been irreparably damaged and here we are...

And everything was fine until fetal alcohol syndrome Vlad shut of the valves...

Time will solve. China will take all Russia's gas and oil ( snd then some) as soon as the pipelines are completed. I would estimate that China is only about 25% of the way to being a developed country. The potential for growth is huge, and that will require a huge amount of energy.

China is, however, in the forefront of developing alternative sources to carbon-based fuels, but the need for carbon-based fuels will be around for some time, depending on how soon the vise of climate change begins to close down hard.
