The Real News - Trump Officials Headline Neocon Iran Regime-Change Summit: Inside UANI

See the neocons lying - one big fat bold lie after another while pretending to be the good guys. They talk about Iran's crimes, but no mention on the evil Saudi/ US war against Yemen.

John Bolton and Mike Pompeo headlined the annual United Against Nuclear Iran (UANI) summit, where speakers celebrated the strangling of the Iranian economy under U.S. sanctions and cheered on regime change. We report from inside

In Orwell’s book 1984, Big Brother says that Oceania has always been at war with Eurasia. However, Winston Smith (the protagonist) remembers a time five years ago when Oceania was instead at war with Eastasia.

The book was published in 1949. Orwell was saying the masses don’t notice when Western governments reverse their alliances. The USSR was “evil” before WW II, then it was “good” during WW II, and then “evil” again after the war, and had always been “evil.” The masses don’t notice the absurdity of Western propaganda. They think whatever politicians and the media outlets tell them to think, on a moment-by-moment basis.

The USSR was “evil” because it was Communist. Today the USSR is gone, but Russia remains “evil” because: “We have always been at war with Oceania.”

And we have always been at war because empires always need “enemies,” real or imaginary. Iran is an imaginary enemy. Since 1988, every Iranian president except Ahmadinejad has been a pro-western neoliberal, and has wanted to financialize Iran’s economy, and integrate it into the West’s financialized economies.

So when Bolton demands regime change in Iran, we must ask, “Regime change to what? An even more neoliberal and pro-Western government?”

Bolton, the neocons, Israel, and the Empire need enemies, real or imaginary.

BUT WAIT… if the Iranian government is as “pro-West” as I claim, then why are Iranians in Syria helping the government, and why does Iran help the Houthis in Yemen?

RESPONSE: How do we know that Iranians are in Syria, and are helping the Houthis? None of us have ever seen any pictures or evidence. NOT ANY. We only have claims by Israel and by people like Bolton, who need enemies, real or imaginary.

There are elements of the Iranian armed forces (e.g. the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps) [IRGC] that pose as nationalists and as anti-Western, but this is for political purposes. For average Iranians, the IRGC is just as corrupt and self-serving as their so-called opponents, the Iranian neoliberals and oligarchs. The rivalry between the IRCG and the neoliberals is no more real than the rivalry between Republicans and leading Democrats in the USA.

In any case the IRCG is part of the Iranian military, and has not been in power since the end of the Iran-Iraq war in 1988.

The Empire needs enemies, real or imaginary.

“We have always been at war with Oceania.”

This need for enemies is so strong that the Empire could easily form an alliance with Iran’s ruling neoliberals if the Empire wanted to. But no, the Empire must obey the Israeli parasite, which was allied with Iran until the 1979 revolution, whereon the parasite formed an alliance with the Saudis.

As for Joe Lieberman (seen in the video) he is a Supremacist Jew and an Israel-firster. Lieberman had been a staunch Hillary-bot, but now he has been out of politics for five years, and he is looking for some way to become “important” again. Therefore Lieberman supports Trump, and is threatening Iran.

“We have always been at war with Oceania.”

Incidentally Lieberman remains as neoliberal as ever. In 2006 he lost the Democratic primary to Ned Lamont, who was anti-neoliberal. Therefore Lieberman ran as an independent. The DNC fixed the election so that Lieberman “won.” Likewise, the neoliberal Joe Crowley lost the Democratic primary to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who is anti-neoliberal. Therefore Crowley will run as an independent, and the DNC will fix the November election so that Crowley “wins.”

Crowley and Lieberman are very close friends and allies.

They just continue to think they can run the OPEC cartel better than the Saudis and extract more monopoly rent from the west for oil... instead of working for a living...

I wouldnt call that pro neoliberal "free market!" integration...

K,

go watch the "Black Panther" movie... put Iran in the 'Wakanda' role and oil in the role of 'Vibranium'...

Its always some 'magic material' that is supposed to bail them out of all the work... like winning the lottery or something... Beverly Hillbillies...
