Mining vast amounts of lithium to produce batteries to propel single owner vehicles, is wasteful and stupid. But that is to be expected of the human locust.

Yes. It’s part of the “green mind virus,” which functions like the woke mind virus.
All of us want a clean environment, but the “green” obsession in its current form is a fad and a political weapon. It’s a means for politicians to steal all they can. And it gives the pampered “Just Stop Oil” maggots something to do with their free time. (At least this is not seen in the USA. American motorists would plough through the creeps and compete with each other, posting videos on social media.)
Likewise, all of us want a society free of racism, but wokery in its current form is viciously racist against whites. Again, it’s a means for politicians to maintain power as they steal all they can.
Many nations run trams and trains on electrified rails or overhead cables. Even the USA does this to some extent. But the “green mind virus” makes people obsessed with battery-powered vehicles whose lithium batteries have limited lifespans, and must afterward be dumped into landfills. Not to mention the pollution and environmental destruction caused by lithium mining.
The “green mind virus” made the (Democrat) mayor of Jackson Wyoming scrap all of the city’s diesel-powered buses and replace them with battery-powered buses, none of which work. Not one. All must be scrapped. Furthermore the woke company that made the buses (Proterra in woke California) is now bankrupt. For Jackson WY this means millions of tax dollars down the drain. The “green mind virus” strikes gain.
We need lithium batteries for cell phones and portable electronic devices. And we need lithium for various industrial and metallurgical applications. But the woke liberal demand that all vehicles become battery-powered is pathological. It’s a fad, a craze, just like the pandemic hoax. Just like BLM and LGBTQ(P) supremacy.
Incidentally the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act provided $5.5 billion for those useless battery-powered buses. Proterra of woke California took the federal loot, built the useless buses, sold them to Jackson WY for $1 million each, and then declared bankruptcy. (Suckers!)
Proterra is located in the woke San Francisco metro area. Now the buses are destined for landfills, and no one is held accountable because of the green mind virus.
This is so typical. When civilizations are in rapid decline, central governments can try various programs to postpone the collapse, but all the money gets stolen. The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act created $1.2 trillion. Biden signed it into law on 15 Nov 2021. The act had only five co-sponsors, but most politicians voted for it because they get kickbacks from it. What do we have to show for it, beside some useless battery-powered buses? Another $1.2 trillion down the "green" drain.
The CARES Act created $2.2 trillion in March 2020. Most of that money was stolen.
On 31 March 2021 Biden unveiled his $2.3 trillion American Jobs Plan (which, when combined with the American Families Plan, amounted to $4 trillion in “infrastructure” spending). Again, most of that money was stolen with nothing to show for it.
When a civilization is collapsing, most programs created by the central government simply create new rackets that accelerate the collapse.
The U.S. government is spending billions to build a gigantic new microchip fabrication plant near Phoenix AZ for the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company. The project is a disaster that is years behind schedule. The plant may never be completed at all. Everybody associated with it is arguing, and everybody wants more money. Always more. Why not? The U.S. government can create limitless money for rackets.
Then there is the Ukraine racket.
These endless rackets are one of the things that MAGA Republicans are protesting in Congress; hence the government “shutdown.”
Democrats and establishment Republicans (i.e. the Uniparty) want more and more spending for more and more rackets. They say that without the rackets, there will be a government “shutdown” that will destroy the planet. They are outraged that MAGA Republicans are calling for sanity.
In Jan 2023 Kevin McCarthy promised MAGA Republicans that he would control these rackets. Therefore MAGA Republicans let him become Speaker. McCarthy lied. He reneged on his promise.
Then McCarthy promised MAGA Republicans that Congress would spend the year working on the U.S. government’s 12 major funding bills. Again McCarthy lied. He checkmated all MAGA attempts to make him keep his promise.
This is a Uniparty trick: delay, delay, and delay until the situation becomes a crisis, and then use the crisis to ram through massive increases in spending for the massive rackets (e.g. Ukraine).
McCarthy wants MAGA Republicans to immediately vote on 12 funding bulls that haven’t even been written yet. Just give the Uniparty a blank check for whatever it wants, for whatever rackets it likes. If MAGA Republicans don’t like this, they can maybe fix it next year . There is always next year. And the next and the next and the next…
MAGA Republicans say no, not this time.
No? Okay, the Uniparty wants MAGA Republicans to at least vote for a temporary funding bill (Continuing Resolution) in order to keep the entire scam going.
Again MAGA Republicans say no, not this time.
The ultra-corrupt Uniparty is furious. It includes the corporate media outlets, who claim that MAGA Republicans are simply evil.
MAGA Republicans might agree to spending increases if all the money did not simply get stolen, or disappear into scams and rackets, like we see with the green mind virus.
