Ugh. If it weren't for Yves Smith, their fundraiser would be more successful.

Everyone going on and on about how the commentary over there is so good? I would say the commentary here is equal or better. Period. End of story.

Their commentary is like pre-MMT Steve Grumbine.

Yves Smith:
And we have the continuing failure to address Covid effectively as the WHO warns of a spike in the Northern Hemisphere, just as children return to school, and a new vaccine-and-prior-infection evasive variant is on the loose. Yet officialdom has not retreated from its now-clearly-not-working-very-well vax-fixated approach, is still not promoting improving ventilation, and recommends masks only after surges are well underway, including ineffective surgical masks. The officialdom is also ignoring the growing evidence of high health and human costs of repeated Covid infection, including vascular damage, cognitive impairment, and Long Covid, and has yet to get religion about funding research into treatments.

These Covid hysterics can go to hell.

I got banned for saying hybrid immunity was the best. Strongest might have been the better word. But banned?

Andrew said he was banned for posting economics-related stuff.

"These Covid hysterics can go to hell."

We have to expect idiocy from “Yves Smith” (nee Susan Weber) who runs the Naked Capoitalism blog.

After all, she’s a New York liberal.

Agree.

NC a cut above most of the rest but it is not MMT. Like Michael Hudson, who is well-received by segments of both "right" and "left."

It is certainly better than the rest of the junk out there, which is at least a distraction if not misleading or intentional disinformation.

No one gets everything right so some mistakes are expected. At least the arguments are clearly articulated.

Nor is the comment policy there anything like here at MNE, which is a free speech venue. I seldom comment there or read the comments. No time for that given my priorities. Regarding Andrew getting banned there, he was tolerated here but he was a troll, so it was not surprising that he got banned elsewhere after reiterating the same position endlessly, like some others who quit commenting here after being ignored for a while.

I read the NC links daily and catch up on any that I miss if I am busy. For that service I am grateful. It is pretty comprehensive, although I don't agree with all the posted links. One has to read everything critically, even MMT, as Neil points out.

The only time I visit NC is when it is referenced on this blog. Yves should be grateful.
