To be sure, China and the United States are not without their troubles. Both countries are showing stubborn growth in their carbon footprints and military spending, to name just two disturbing trends. But the data of the last 25 years portray U.S.-China commerce as the most synergistic bi-lateral relationship in world history, bringing peace along with mutual prosperity.Putting another myth to rest – other than for the zombies – and there are lots of them.

US has been using it’s legal system to acquire advantages for American companies for years. Alstom a French company got bought up by GE after the US decided to go after top people in Alstom. Alstom wasn’t for sale before that but conveniently became.
Another example is the battle for computer graphics which a Swede invented but US companies used despite the Swedes parent. They paid zero for using it.
And his case was thrown out of American court based on a technicality that his American lawyers fucked up. After that it was impossible for him to get paid though he had the patent. The American companies also used the legal system to pretty much make HIM pay through his nose by demanding all legal costs and what not from him.
Another thing the US has done systematically is brain draining lots of other countries and they still does.
China has been buying American jobs.
As always when people get their hands on technology and tools for a specific task they learn how it works and see that it can be used for other tasks too .
