Back in China, the biggest news overnight was that Jack Ma’s Ant Group is seeking a valuation of more than $200 billion as it goes public in Hong Kong and Shanghai.

Well. one very good thing about international de-dollarization is that it would encourage domestic dollarization* to make up for the loss of international demand.

And who knows, once the US has an ethical finance system, won't foreigners want to use the dollar again? Or at least become citizens to enjoy the benefits of it?

*I.e. allowing all citizens, at least, to use the dollar in account form and removing all other privileges for private depository institutions, aka "the banks."
