It's the pathetic financial sanctions that I find amusing. They're going to cut Putin off from 'international capital'.
So they stop Putin transacting in dollars. Then the gas bill comes due and nobody can pay the Russians. So he turns the pipes off. How clever does that 'market based energy supply' look then?
Putin has gone mad, but he understands that the world works in boots on the ground and things you can kick - not electronic impulses.
I hope Putin does turn the gas off. That will really put the cat amongst the pigeons in the EU.
