Suffice to say that Washington has gotten everything it wants. Europe divided from Russia, delay in going ahead with sales of Russian gas, portrayal of Putin as a war-mongering maniac.

It only took 8 years.

You may not be interested in war, but war is interested in you.

Ain't that the truth.

You're not seeing this on CNN or on any other of the American networks, but Ukraine is putting up a lousy military resistance if any. That's according to my reading in the Greek press. That doubly sucks when no one is going to come your aid. No one.

Btw, there are over 100,000 Greeks in Ukraine, mostly concentrated in the city of Mariupolis (Donetsk). They are overwhelmingly pro Russia. I thought I'd let you guys know :)

Now the government of Greece strongly condemned Russia today. And as it was condemning Russia, it was also increasing its military preparedness in the Aegean. You see, as Russia was moving into Ukraine, Turkish fighter jets were moving into Greek airspace over the Aegean sea.

Seriously, Erdogan and the Turkish generals must have been giddy from all the excitement watching the Russians move in unabated and no one coming to Ukraine's aid. They see the possibilities.

No freakin' kidding. On all the Greek media today there was discussion of Erdogan himself pulling off a "Putin." Because he knows the Greeks, like the Ukrainians, will be left all alone -- no one coming to their aid. And Erdogan would be right. Hell, even the Greeks know they would be left all alone in the event of a Turkish invasion.

Fuckin' Russians... they're supposed to be the rational ones.

Geopolitically (and algebracally, too) speaking, you're born yesterday. [shaking my head in disbelief]

I'll get back to you in a year's time to wish you a happy birthday.

A lot can happen in a year.

Especially in Europe, where the natives can't help slaughtering each other.
