Col Baud makes this observation. "We do not understand our enemies, their rationale, their way of thinking and their real objectives. Hence, we are not even able to articulate sound strategies to fight them."
This is the conclusion I arrived at as a US naval officer serving in the Western Pacific during the early years of the Vietnam era (1954-1967), when the Gulf of Tonkin incident "occurred" (false flag) that led to US escalation.
In arriving at this conclusion, I was heavily influenced by the writings of Bernard Fall, an Austrian-born French journalist who analyzed the French defeat and warned about the US making the same mistakes.
I realized that the American political and military establishment were making similar mistakes that would likely lead to the same sorry conclusion, which it eventually did but only after much blood was spilled on both sides. Needless to say, my view was not appreciated.
Is the West making the same kind of mistakes now, especially failure to know one's enemysun tzu ? Col Baud thinks so based on his analysis.

Doing what is unethical is always a mistake. But that is Washington's mode of operation.
"We do not understand our enemies"
Sitting Bull and Geronimo and Crazy Horse did and Montezuma.
Only difference here is the greed is expanding forever Eastwards instead of moving West.
Capitalism is like a game of Pac man and you have to keep increasing the size of the screen to create more white dots. Until no white dots are left and everyone ends up dead.
It could have been so different. America would have no enemies if they had chosen a different economic model.
It's just human nature the species are thick and stupid and selfish and don't have the brain to evolve into anything else. Humans are the pheasants of the universe who run head first into moving vehicles for no reason.
That struggle to live side by side in the same house before they even get round to their neighbours and those that live on the same street. With education camps and work camps being their very first battlefields that didn't involve their families.
War is "built in" into the genes and the psychopaths rise to the top.
Only complete and utter psychopaths would come up with the idea of an invisible being living in the sky who watches everything you do. Who will punish you if you don't follow certain rules.
As a way to get money and control other human beings.
Back then they would have been awarded with rare materials and given a title and called an entrepreneur by fellow psychopaths and buried with their treasure.
Laughed about it every time the met up for dinner and played dinner games of what they could come up with next.
It's always completely amazed me how many human beings simply accepted the fact when they were told they are going to work for 50 years of their life and get so many weeks off every year without even the thought of rebelling. Accept it as a human life and what a human life is supposed to be.
Spent their whole time wondering what is was they were going to do so that they could assimilate into working 50 years and only get so many weeks off before they die. Without even questioning whether it was fair or the actually the correct path to take as a human with if you are lucky a 70 year life span.
Probably why the slave owners came up the invisible man living in the sky idea in the first place.
So when Timmy and Edna first asked the question if it was the right path for them considering they died in their 30's at that time. They were told not to worry because if they follow the rules they wil! live forever in a promised land full of plenty. Where their dreams come true.
Why I cringe when I hear people defending the job guarentee based upon the psychopaths terms and conditions put in front of them when they were a child.
If at 16 a complete psychopath knocked on your door and told you that you must sign this contract or else.
(Based on annual leave of 4 weeks)
That you have to work 13 years to get a year off.
Work 52 years to get 4 years off.
Even though you might die at an average age of 70.
Your parents would chase them down the street and phone the police.
Why they had to create magical stories in educational camps and come up with more sophisticated ways to do it. So that when the psychopaths knocks on your door your parents encourage you and cheer when you sign the contract. Invite the psychopaths in for some tea and then dinner.
Your survival instinct comes up with those stories, provided you have a language to express them in.
