A Son of the New American Revolution
Why America Fails to Commemorate Victory over the Nazis While Russia Still Celebrates (good question, but I think his answer is somewhat simplistic. Americans had no where near the investment of the Russians, for example, and war was not fought on American soil.)

In January 1979 West German television broadcast, over four consecutive nights, the ABC miniseries ‘The Holocaust’. After each episode, the Germans ran a live panel of historians who would take questions from the audience (it is estimated that over half of Germany watched the series.) Like most Americans living in Germany, I had missed out on the series when it was originally aired in the United States the previous year. My family tuned in and, out of curiosity, remained tuned in during the panels. We were shocked by what we heard – the children of Germans who had been alive during the Second World War were calling the panel, in hysterics, denouncing their parents and their nation for allowing such a thing to happen. The distinguished academics and psychologists that had been assembled for these panels were stunned into silence by the outrage and anger – they simply had no answer to the question of not only how such a thing had been allowed to happen, but why they had not been taught about it growing up. Germany, it seemed, had tried to erase the criminality of its Nazi past from its present reality.

Those young Germans had it right.

There was no 'greatest generation'. Not in America, Germany, Russia, or Japan. Who Scott Ritter would have us honor, are cowards. Legions of sheep willing to follow orders.

The scourge of Nazi Germany?
Give me a break. The scourge is within ourselves, regardless of where we live. When a majority of the population refuse to think for themselves, or choose to remain silent, lunatics like Hitler can rise to power. Then we allow ourselves to go to war, commit atrocities, and call those who did the killing, "heroes".

Soldiers are not heroes, nor are they brave. They are cowards. Slaves. Savages. Victims. Victimizers. I know that this doesn't go down well with pro-war and righteous-war supporters, but I don't frame this issue as you do. There is no excuse for rationalizing the need for war; that is, if we wish to make the claim that we are civilized.

Scott Ritter's open letter fails to mention war crimes committed by Russian, American and allied forces. It doesn't mention war crimes committed by Washington since the end of WWII. Crimes that anyone serving in the US military may be asked to commit, at the behest of their 'commander in chief'.

Why did he "forget" to mention them?
Because he wants to deny their moral equivalence. Just as today's warmongers want to deny the moral equivalence of Ukrainian soldiers shelling civilians in the east of the country for eight years.

From Hitler to Biden, it's not that we've forgotten our past; it's that we haven't learned from it. The warmongers of this world cannot fight wars without the participation of the populace. So they feed us bullshit about a 'greatest generation' and of brave young soldiers who sacrificed themselves for a virtuous cause. Naturally, they portray our side as paragons of virtue, and the enemy as evil. It's the same old song, yet so many fucking sheep fall for it.

“ There was no 'greatest generation'”

Well the one before it that gave us the 1930s is what I call “the dumbest generation “….

Hmmm... In other words, Israel's sugar daddy has no say. No shame!

Matt, ever have javelin pudding? In a bowl, add one tablespoon of milled flaxseeds, one tablespoon crunchy peanut butter, a couple of sliced dates (substitute raisins or any other dried fruit) and finally a sliced banana. Pour some coffee in the bowl, about half a cup, and then stir. Voila! Javelin pudding! Super nutritious (vitamins, minerals, protein, fiber...), super tasty, and... it hits the spot!

Greek no haven’t heard of that but ingredients sound good… Haven’t been eating very healthy since I lost my direct source for Greek olive oil … usd zombie erdogan made my us importer pay in USD in advance of their shipments so they had to cease operations…

Their olive groves are in Ionia… but can’t export for now due to USD zombies occupying that region…

Not kidding (except maybe for the name ) about the above coffee pudding recipe. It's really that good.

The new olive oil harvest hasn't arrived yet, but it will soon. So what you see on the shelves now is the previous harvest.

On the Greek news, olive oil producers saying to expect at least a 30% increase in prices.

Also, noticed lots of advertisements on Greek tv channels by Greek olive oil importers here in North America to pre-order your olive oil.

Me, I know the oil brand to buy. Soon as the it arrives, in one of the Greek supermarkets here in Montreal, I'll buy a year's supply one shot. Plan B is of course Costco, but not yet since the current olive oil harvest has not arrived yet. What you see on their shelves now is 2-year-old oil. Having to make do with Spanish olive oil right now. The horror, but what can I do :(
