Yet there is barrier at the entry point. Burning Man tickets are very expensive. It is not that you can just walk/drive in.

The barriers to entry are many -

1. The event is held at a venue far from a populated area. therefore it requires a significant time and effort and money just to get there
2. This implies that only the wealthy or the well paid will get in.
3. If you are employed you will not be able to take time off to attend.
4. This means that this is an event mostly for the "well heeled"

To me these characteristics of Burning Mand belie its espoused principles.
