James Steele: America's mystery man in Iraq. A 15-month investigation by the Guardian and BBC Arabic revealed how retired US colonel James Steele, a veteran of American proxy wars in El Salvador and Nicaragua, played a key role in training and overseeing US-funded special police commandos who ran a network of torture centres in Iraq.
A disturbing documentary on the psychopath James Steele who the Pentagon put in Iraq.

Disturbing article. I took this except from it.
'Candidate Trump spoke glowingly of torture on the campaign trail, stating that “torture works” and even if it doesn’t “they deserve it anyway for what they’re doing.” Trump doubled down a few days after his inauguration, telling ABC News he wanted to “fight fire with fire” when it comes to stopping terrorism because he “absolutely” believes torture works.
Arkady’s images put Trump’s rhetoric to the test. The world will be looking for coalition leadership on these abuses. That buck, whether Trump likes it or not, will stop at the White House.'
Fortunately the images are obscured in the article and I didn't click on any links.
