RT Putin on new US nuclear stance: If attacked, Russia will use nukes

So there you have it. The cards are on the table.
“We are greatly concerned by some parts of the new nuclear posture, which reduces the benchmark for the use of nuclear weapons. Whatever soothing words one may try to use behind closed doors, we can read what was written. And it says that these weapons can be used in response to a conventional attack or even a cyber-threat,” [Putin] said.
“Our nuclear doctrine says Russia reserves the right to use nuclear weapons only in response to a nuclear attack or an attack with other weapons of mass destruction against her or her allies, or a conventional attack against us that threatens the very existence of the state.”

“It is my duty to state this: Any use of nuclear weapons against Russia or its allies, be it small-scale, medium-scale or any other scale, will be treated as a nuclear attack on our country. The response will be instant and with all the relevant consequences,” Putin warned.

Is North Korea a Russian ally?

Perfect. By threatening Russia we provoke a defensive posture which will be used to vilify Russia and sole Cold War 2.0.

As if being able to obliterate humankind (and much of the rest of life on earth 1,000 times over) isn't already enough. The assholes running this country - especially the shadow government / MIC - should all be publicly executed on TV for treason and crimes against humanity.

Not really, and NK is less and less a Chinese "ally" with what that implies politically.

A better concept here is "sphere of influence."

The key factor is that both China and Russia share a border with NK and so they have a vital interest in what happens there.

NK and Ukraine are currently playing a similar role wrt to the Empire expanding its reach and encroaching on the sphere of influence of other great powers, nuclear-armed Russia and China.

Dangerous game to be playing.

The ruling elite were scared of democracy because they thought the common man would change the laws and take their money and land, after all, who have them all the land?

The ruling elite were always known to be authoritarians and very conservative.

When the liberal era came in it worried them.

The ruling elite soon learnt that that can control the populace through propaganda. Despite democracy, they saw that they could keep their party nearly always in power by controlling the media.

The Royal Family were known throughout history to be a bunch of arsoles, but they paid marketing people who told them how to better present themselves by doing lots of charity work.

Eventually, the ruling elite then finally embraced liberalism, after all identity politics did not affect their wealth.

Add it all together and they ended up with a massive propaganda tool. We, the good West, are liberal; we stand up for the minorities; we hate dictators (although it is usually us that installs them); Capitalism is freedom; We stand for fairness and decency; We are modern; We are not repressive (but no one rebels because the propaganda is so effective); We allow punk banks to do as they please and go on riot.

Apart from identity politics, it's all a complete lie.

Barack Obama was the elites perfect front, but lots of people saw through Hilary. Trump is a disaster for their propaganda. They still want him out.

I was just flipping about YouTube when a site called Trunews said, 'Are you prepared for nuclear war this April, in 60 days time, stay tuned'. I quickly turned it off. It's a conservative Christian site and people like this are always predicting armageddon. I hope they are mad.

They are setting themselves up where Israel gets its ass kicked hard and then nothing happens... they’ll all have to become atheists...

Thanks Matt and John, you've put my mind at rest. Isn't it crazy how some 'sane people' are totally mad. It always reminds me of the Planet of the Apes film where despite blowing the planet up in a nuclear war the humans worshipped the H-bomb How crazy is that?

It's a mad world, and yet we could sort out the problems if we wanted, the climate change, the poverty, the population growth, while developing new sustainable energy systems, etc, and wealthy people would still make pots of money out of the new technology.

Yes correct what is holding us back is all the libertarianism... the libertarians hold the view that is adversarial to the concept that we have the authority to be doing all of those things so they say "out of money!... free markets!... free blah blah blah!" ... they operate against authority...

In secular Philosophy its termed libertarianism or anti-authority... in non-secular or scriptural terms its called 'Satanic' or adversarial to authority... "Satan" the Hebrew word for 'adversary of God' where God is the supreme authority...

Its diabolical... or 'of Satan' or 'of the adversary'... you can see all the chaos and destruction it causes... its really dark...

We can defeat it with material competent authority...
