Tom Hickey — Calling the election
Now that Donald Trump is the official candidate for the GOP and Hillary Clinton for the Dems, I am calling the election for Trump for the simple reason that entertainment value will be the deciding favor and Trump is just a lot more interesting than Clinton. Who wants to watch a four year reality show starring Hillary Clinton when you can watch Trump instead.

If Hillary wins and the Rs keep the house, we will have non stop "investigations" and hearings. That might get a little tedious after 2 or 3 months. Trump will be far more entertaining. If he convinces enough elderly Floridians and rural Ohioans to vote for him he wins.
She's not going to win. Biden? Maybe. Wikileaks has her head on a platter, ready to be served any day now. Would not be surprised if she bows out before November.
Absent more Wiki revelations, she wouldn't win. Even Nate Silver has thrown in the towel on her fading chances.
Now this is funny:

I'm up for Trump, although I'm on the left. I'm a George Galloway fan myself, but Hilary is freaking scary. At least trump confronted the biased Western media about Putin with its propaganda, but I just hope in power he keeps to his word and doesn't give in to his war mongering ruling class. A big hope, but it's better than nothing.
Agreed, Tom. A Trump presidency will be entertaining AF!
Kaivey,
You hit upon a perfect British equivalent. Trump is the American George Galloway.
Trump would never succeed if he spoke like Galloway, not on American soil. (But when we listen to Galloway that doesn’t matter, because we know he’s talking to British audiences and your politicians are far more eloquent. They have to be to succeed in Parliamentary jousts.)
Trump talks like a NYC site foreman who won’t put up with any guff from his men and who uses humor and hyperbole to get his point across.
I’m listening to all these panty-waists talking at the DNC right now. Fucking bor-ing.
I can well imagine everyone tuning into the evening news every night to hear the latest “Listen, people...” explanation from the White House. Who says we can’t laugh our way to prosperity.
Right on, Tom.
What about the issues? Won't the election be decided by the issues?
Bob it will be decided by the socio-economic justice swing voters as usual.... I'm assuming more GOP of these will show up vs. Dems so if so Trump wins ...
If Hillary cheated her own party to win, don't you think she will cheat in the general election? Against an outsider? I think she will take the election, not necessarily win though of course, she will make that claim.
