The choice is either degrowth or green growth. Degrowth is an unfeasibe option. So the question is how to implement green growth, if that is even feasible.

The authors are right in the abstract - just because their arguments are abstract and hypothetical. Growth is all about energy and resources and we are bound to ditch oil, coal and gas while running out of resources. This is physics in contrast to wishful thinking I'm afraid.
