I don't know what country would want to be "aligned" with Russia other than for the purposes of getting cheap oil. Russia is losing the war in Ukraine and is viewed as a weak military power (with the exception of nukes). Moreover, it has been completely ostracized from the global financial system. It's citizens can hardly travel anywhere. It's airlines are prohibited from flying over numerous countries. It's a pariah. Seriously, everyone does NOT want to hop on the BRICS Express. Maybe the BICS Express, but you can leave the "R" out.
Putin whining, complaining about the West in his speech. Because he can't do anything about the West's (read: U.S.) power and dominance. So, he whines and complains.
I think NATO looking at Russian air forces and salivating…. Maybe trying to draw Russian air forces out…
