Mr. "Deep State!" thinks it is bankrupting us

"Deep State!" Lofgren here LOL!:

Since Mr. Rubio offers a detailed plan on taxes and spending — and since he is widely considered an “establishment” candidate — voters might carefully consider what his budget blueprint offers. Here’s the short version: It draws on fantasy math that would wreck America’s fiscal house.
I wonder what else he is deluded about?

Is this considered 'deep state.' 'Deep state' = 'corrupt'?

"Deep State" = Figure of speech

Good thing the deep state isn't "revenue constrained" like us victims of the deep state.

The issue is the use to which the policy space is put. The deep state is committed to military dominance, The and the the military budget reflects this. The deep state is also committed to financial dominance, which is a reason for the bailout of the financial system along with increased consolidation.

In short the increased policy space is being used to further strategic interest supposedly in the national interest but which economically favor special interests.

Random,
'Deep State' is just a euphemism for Institutional Momentum.

If you think the MICC lobbies have outsize influence on US policy, then you believe in the "Deep State."

For old-style, Eisenhower Republicans, opposition to MICC Institutional Momentum is a matter of moral hypocrisy, whether or not they know that we're no longer on a gold standard.

Lofgren is on our side. He just isn't up to date on fiat currency operations.

Agree with Roger. His intentions are good, but like everybody else he doesn't get the implications of fiat. This lack of understanding doesn't disqualify his other statements.

His other statements pertain to people who ALSO dont get the implications of fiat.... ie you guys are actually taking sides in a moron fest...

Matt,
NO ONE gets all of the implications of all insights.

Aggregate adaptive rate follows aggregate coordination, which relies on majority recruitment plus SELECTIVE denunciation.

Not everyone is a sociopath. The majority of the people you're calling morons just haven't yet had the opportunity to talk civilly with you and us. I suggest you extend more invitations before making things worse by rushing to pre-label too many potential recruits as morons.

By your present criteria, you of 10-15 years ago would have been labeled a moron too! :)

As our grandparents used to say, you can catch more flies with honey than with vinegar. :)

Logic AND rhetoric, reason AND persuasion.

Rhetoric and persuasion are the most important in political discourse.

Moreover, interest politics prevails in the US.
