Getting the promise of MMT across to the public is going to require forceful persuasion. Rhetoric is much more forceful in persuasion than logic (reason). Why? Because people respond to feeling more than to thought. Most people respond to metaphor over reasoning, and to identity over metaphor.
The opportunity here is to feature public over private as win-win for each and all. Therefore emphasize public purpose, public investment, and public utility. Policy is supposed to be about public welfare rather than favoring special interests.
