As the refugees were entering Europe, some were warning about terrorists planted in their midst to carry out black ops.
Would that be ISIS or AQ? No reason not both.
They have similar ideologies and goals. Their differences are over strategy and tactics and who is to be in control. But they are Wahhabi-Sallari-Takfiri in ideology with some dispossessed Iraqi Baathists involved, too.
I very much doubt that either ISIS or AQ would miss an opportunity like this, and regardless of whether this was part of the plan, it's highly likely there will be other planned incidents to further the objectives of the parties involved.
1) It doesn't originate the backlash massive murder terror attacks (like Paris) cause, the population won't back up ramping up military intervention because of this.
2) It causes a backlash against legit refugees (the majority), which is exactly what the different combatant sides in Syria want. As they want that people back, and more people not getting out.
It's important to remember that ISIS feeds mainly of desperate people over there, as does their policy strengthen and solidify their control, likewise the Assad regime needs a population to keep the country going, and with nearly half the population having fled is not looking good. It also creates a 'rift' between the West and the people over there, which they also want.
So yeah it's quite possible the whole thing has been organized amongst sympathizers who got in with the current waves. More stuff like this will continue to happen probable.
The Syrian and other MENA refugees come from strict religious cultures that are severely sexually repressed. Imagine what happens to the collective psyches of the young male refugees when they encounter young European women in short skirts out on the town. Western powers should just bug out of Syria and Iraq. The conflict over there is a Sunni/Shia feud that goes back over 1,400 years. If U.S. and other western nations weren't intervening in the Syrian civil, there would be no plausible reason to accept these refugees who are given all types of welfare benefits that U.S. citizens are not entitled to.
Ed, there is a lot of truth to that. When they travel Western women sometimes don't realize that in many cultures dressing provocatively is understood as an invitation. The world is still very tribal culturally.
It's possible that this is what happened but as I said, the m.o. suggests that there may have been organization behind it. It appears that this was not just some guys not used to drinking having one too many and getting fresh. There appears to have been intent to terrorize by making women run gauntlets of gropers, for instance.
It seems to me too soon to rush to judgment one way or the other.
I dunno, the saker sure is attributing a lot of competence and foresight to US planners... I'm more inclined to say that the refugee problem in Europe is more a product of incompetence... Unless someone is prepared to say that the Iraq invasion actually was an astounding success, then incompetence seems more likely... I think Dick Cheney would have preferred a different outcome of the Iraq war, although I don't think he minds the actual one, since he and his buddies all got paid... But him hoping for a refugee influx into Europe to destabilize, weaken it, and make it more compliant to US demands seems highly unlikely since Europe already is, and has been quite compliant to the US-run global economic system.
As I said, in the past analysts such as this have put forward ideas that I regarded as far-fetched only to find later that I was wrong about it. So I am not endorsing, but not throwing it out either. It's in my file until we see how things unfold.

Somehow I don't see war refugees planning an attack to piss Germany off.
They have dark skin, though.
Planned by whom? ISIS or other 'moderate allies'(Al Qaeda lol)?
I hope Greece puts a lot of resources into shipping refugees into core-Europe, they don't deserve better.
2016, beginning of the end of the EU.

It's a pretty "clever" strategy if it's planned:
1) It doesn't originate the backlash massive murder terror attacks (like Paris) cause, the population won't back up ramping up military intervention because of this.
2) It causes a backlash against legit refugees (the majority), which is exactly what the different combatant sides in Syria want. As they want that people back, and more people not getting out.
