There will be war until the oil runs out. After that, no one outside of the Middle East will care. ISIS will still be around, although they might change their name and inspire new groups in the ME, Africa and Eurasia.

Terrorism associated with unrest in the ME will be the "new normal" for decades to come. I doubt there will be any responsibility taken for that outcome. The narrative will place the blame on 'terrorists' and Muslims.

We've all seen this video of Wesley Clark saying how Washington plans to take out seven countries, but the bit at the end I have not seen before, where he says that if it wasn't for the oil the ME would have been left alone. Well, they certainly suffered the oil curse. Beaten back to the Middle Ages.

Only Lebanon, Sudan and Iran are on the "to do" list. There's a deepening civil war in South Sudan... France is active in neighbouring Chad... maybe something is being planned.
