Wondering if Obama wants the dollar to drop significantly

"...we need to export more of our goods. Because the more products we make and sell to other countries, the more jobs we support right here in America. So tonight, we set a new goal: We will double our exports over the next five years, an increase that will support two million jobs in America. To help meet this goal, we're launching a National Export Initiative that will help farmers and small businesses increase their exports, and reform export controls consistent with national security..."

Does this mean a death knell for the dollar? How else does he expect to double exports so quickly?

Very sad for Americans.

Farmers already have massive subsidies and they are the only ones besides medical mfgs to sell to Iran.

If you ask the export control goons in DC, they will not give you names of farmers that are allowed to sell to Iran.

Must be a private club.

This is interesting what you bring up. Farmers (small business), exports, and National Security in the same sentence?

This sounds like they want to sell more ag products abroad (to perhaps unfriendly nations) and/or increase ag subsidies to aid agricultural exporters.

and beyond that perhaps lift export bans that small technology firms may be currently under due to national security.
