Paul Robinson — Double Standards

Another paradox of liberalism.

US is neither run nor guided by liberal principles. Europe imagines she is liberal but there is always a nationalist, cultural superiority that cautiously runs through all policies though politely kept out of sight and coversation. Russia and Turkey and Ukraine and Syria have done little more than dabble in liberalism.

Good article on the spread of a new leftist liberal utopia in a new independent state in Northern Syria. From none other than the bastian of liberalism: NYT.
