As someone who lives less than 10 miles from Veblen's Minnesota home (lovingly restored in 1993) who has read all ten of his books at least twice, I am quite aware of the problems of getting people to read and understand his incredible output. I have been convinced since the 1980s that his ideas are the most relevant to today's current economic problems. I have assembled much of what I have discovered at: http://elegant-technology.com/EThistoryBASE.html
To be quite honest, whenever I read someone trying to resurrect the ideas of Marx I want to shout, "Marx was not intellectually qualified to wash Thorstein Veblen's shorts. I could debate that point for days without resorting to notes ;-)
