Reminds me of architects back in the eighties beating their breasts, worried about the incursion of project managers (techno-bean counters) into their field, and architects’ diminishing relevance – what did they have to offer?
Philosophy of economics and philosophy of science seem to be struggling with the same type of angst, although the physicists are more at ease with the philosophers.
