China’s consumers are turning against the homegrown Big Tech giants they once revered — Grady McGregor

Actually, it's more about unregulated capitalism falling from favor than big tech. Big tech happens to be the firms involved. Chinese people seem to expect more regulation of business in the public interest.

Expect to see the Chinese government get more involved between firms and consumers. For example, it's looking like Jack Ma got slapped down for '"getting too big for his britches" about financialization.
