The Greek tv networks last night interrupted their regular programming (unlike FOX affiliated tv stations, I might add) and provided instead live news updates of the events transpiring in the US.
So, my mother, father, and I are watching, and my mother turns to me and asks what did the Greek news anchor mean when he referred to the US as a "banana republic." I answered her that that derogatory phrase was reserved for undemocratic countries, specifically of the kind that have bananas as one of their major sources of export income: for example, Guatemala.
Can you believe it? The fuckin' confederate flag was brought inside the Capital building!!! What the hell!!!

Trumpism is just a symptom, not a root cause, of an unjust economic system based on usury and debt, not broadly owned equity.
