I've dealt (or tried to deal) with some of these permit applications at Recreation.gov. It's a pain in the ass, and hardly ever successful. Plenty of places I want to see, but just can't get to because of this gate keeeping.

May as well privatize the parks and let the owners do whatever they want.
Booz is a public company now they went public a few years ago…

Sounds like govt doesn’t want a lot of people going in there..,
