Pat (and Ralph Nader) has been a friend of American workers far more than anyone in any political party over the last 25 years.
I met him in 93 while doing a little work for Sen Simon. Was easily one of the friendliest politicos I've ever met. Also partied with him at an event with Congressman Ford of Ky. Was even more gracious at that venue.
And I know more than a few predominant liberal Democrats who privately think the world of Pat.
