A Russian joke goes like this: “Question: why can there be no color revolution in the United States? Answer: because there are no US Embassies in the United States.”
Funny, maybe, but factually wrong: I believe that a color revolution is being attempted in the USA right now....And Killary was dissing the Donald during the campaign for suggesting that he might not immediately accept the reported results of the election. What irony — or hypocrisy.

I think that the Saker goes over top on this but a lot of people don't. He is hardly original in his analysis.
The takeaway is that the US is passing the point of political differences to division. This probably has not been this extreme since the lead up to the Civil War.

Trump's no Cromwell! Trump is more like Charles! Roundheads would be demanding much more than what Trump's offering, and would sooner be horse whipping the satanist than have him as their leader.
Analogies only go so far. :)
"Analogies only go so far."
And to think that I use that line all the time. I should have known better!
This is interesting in light of the color revolution. Dir. Nat. Intel and Joint Chiefs role changed in NSC

Mike Flynn sends a message to the IC (item community) and military about who is in charge. Needless to say, heads are exploding as the deep state gets neutered.
In Russia they call this a "purge."
It seems like every new outrage is contrived to whip up liberal dissent which makes me wonder if it isn't intelligence related.
Scahill was pointing out that Trump's Muslim ban is an expansion of an Obama created executive power -- https://t.co/0XMBl3KBMQ and he exercised similar power several times though not for as many countries at one time but there was no outrage and no one read those headlines.
Then when we have a real issue, like torture, which the Intelligence community wants, it goes away with barely a headline.
Maybe it's just my imagination but if someone was trying to stir-the-pot this is what it would look like. But there is no way to know.
